Vision Quest

Director: Harold Becker
Rating: ★★★
Summary: A high school wrestler in Spokane, Washington has trouble focusing on his training regimen when a beautiful young drifter takes up temporary residence at his home.

I wrestled in high school, so this movie is slightly better to me for that reason. It was fun, but not great. Eighties movie are wild too. The main character was hit on within the first ten minutes of the movie by a guy in a hotel. Spokane is a good place for a film backdrop, and watching this made me realize how much of the world doesn’t get to be seen because no one is shooting on location anymore. And when they do, it’s in a big city. The new era of filmmakers will succeed because they will shoot whatever they want.
